Adding Dashboards to a Security Group
Switch to view a different dashboard
Overview
This article provides an overview of viewing and switching between dashboards within the system. The article will also show you how to add dashbaords to security groups.
Adding Dashboards to a Security Group
Before a user can view dashboards, they will require access to the dashboards. This can be done using the security group settings within the user settings. This will require a user who has read write access to users.
You can edit an existing security group using the steps below or you can create a new security group, details on steps to create a new security group can be found on the page https://help.asset55.io/en_GB/operate/users_and_security_groups
To add dashboards to an existing security group so all users with access to this security group will get access to the dashboards:
- From the Home Screen, click on the cog Icon and select Manage Users.
- From the table context menu select the option Manage security groups.
- Using the row context menu select the Edit option.
- Click on the Dashboards tab.
- In the PowerBI Reports section select which dashboards you want to assign to the user group.
- Click save to save the changes.
Note: If there are no dashboards available in the PowerBI Reports section, you will need to contact asset55 to check if you have dashboards setup on your account.
Once you have a security group with dashboards assigned, you can assign users to have access to this security group, details on how to do this are on the page https://help.asset55.io/en_GB/operate/users_and_security_groups this page will also show you how to create a new security group if you do not want to edit an existing security group.
Viewing a Dashboard
To view a dashboard:
- From the Home Screen, click on the dashboard Icon.
- Select the dashboard you want to view.
Switch to View a Different Dashboard
- While viewing a dashboard, click the dropdown named Select dashboard and select from the available list.
