Overview

Efficiently managing technical queries ensures smooth operations and effective resolution within your organization. Here is an overview of how to navigate the process seamlessly.

Viewing a Technical Query

To view a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. Find the technical query you want to view, click on the flag category of the technical query in the table or go to the context menu and click View.
  3. You can now view the Flag Attributes or view any Linked documents.

Creating a Technical Query

To create a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. From the table context menu, click Create.
  3. Complete the required fields marked with *.

Uploading Technical Queries

To upload technical queries:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. From the table context menu, click Upload.
  3. You can download a template using the link.
  4. Populate the below fields in the csv file as a minimum:
    • Flag category
    • Description
    • Date raised
  5. Use the upload a file to navigate to your csv file and upload.
  6. This process will create a task in the uploads section where you can monitor the progress of your upload. Please read the uploads article https://help.asset55.io/en_GB/operate/uploads for a more detailed description of how this works.

Editing a Technical Query

To edit a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. Find the technical query you want to edit, go to the context menu, and click Edit.
  3. You can now edit and save the technical query.

N.B. You can only edit a technical query where the flag status is not closed.

Closing a Technical Query

To close a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. Find the technical query you want to close, go to the context menu, and click Close Technical query.
  3. Enter data into the two required fields below and save:
    • Date closed
    • Resolved description

Linking a Technical Query to a Document

To link a document to a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. Find the technical query you want to link a document, go to the context menu, and click Link to a document.
  3. Select a previously uploaded document and then click link.
  4. Or you can upload a new document by clicking the New document option and then upload the document from your pc.

Export Technical Queries

To export all the technical queries into a csv file:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. From the table context menu, click Export.
  3. Select a filename and location.
  4. You will now have a csv file with all the technical queries to the location you selected.

Archiving a Technical Query

To archive a technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. Find the technical query you want to archive, go to the context menu, and click Archive.

View Archived Technical Queries

To view archived technical queries:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. From the table context menu, click View archived.

Restore an Archived Technical Query

To restore a previously archived technical query:

  1. From the Home Screen, go to Technical Query.
  2. From the table context menu, click View archived.
  3. Find the technical query you want to restore, go to the context menu, and click Unarchive.

Hide Archived Technical Queries

To hide archived technical queries:

  1. When viewing archived Technical Queries.
  2. From the table context menu, click Hide archived.
