Overview

The user interface for Operate has been designed to be intuitive with common tasks for each module.

Toolbar

A main toolbar is featured at the top of each page, the content of this toolbar doesn't change with the exception of a couple of icons.

Toolbar

Icon Behaviour
Current context. This will either show current Tenant, Asset or Project. The example show is a Tenant context only.
Home. This will return the user to the Home screen.
Feedback. Provide asset55 product team with positive feedback or suggested improvements.
Notifications. This icon will indicate whether there are any system notifications which need attention.
View. On supported tables, this icon will show and allow the user to change the way the data is presented and filtered.
3D Model. In supported modules, this icon will allow the user to enable the 3D Model.
User account. This icon shows basic account information and allows the user access to their account

Breadcrumb

The breadcrumb trail shows the user where they are in the system. This can be multiple layers deep in some parts of the system.

Users can click any part of the breadcrumb trail to return to that level.

The breadcrumb allows the user to switch context and return to the home screen.

Home screen

The home screen is the primary user interface when the application is first launched and allows users to navigate to the different modules in the system.

The home screen groups modules into the main Tenant, Asset, Project scopes.

Data Tables

Each module within Operate displays tabular data, the navigation of this tabular data is designed to be consistent.

Navigation of data tables can be broken down into the following components:

Icon Description
Title. Shows the name of the data table.
Item count. The total number of items in the table and count of selected items.
Table context menu. This will contain actions which can be performed on the module or multiple selected items in the table.
Back button. Return to previous screen.
Table columns. Sort and filtering options for the column.
Select and select all.
Item row context menu. This will contain actions which can be performed on the individual record.
Page number and page size options.
