Prerequisites

Tag types are a central pillar in tag validation. A tag’s tag type will define which attribute each tag may have, and also define the expected format for a tag’s unique tag ID.

To manage the tag types for an asset, either click on the “Manage asset tag types” menu option for a specific asset in the assets page, or

When in the context of a project, click on the “Tag types” option on the homepage.

Clicking this will take you to the tag types page.

Creating a new tag type

To create a new tag type, click the “Create” menu option at the top of the page.

This will open the “Create new tag type” form.

A tag type will have defined as a discipline tag type pair. You can either select an existing discipline from the dropdown or simply type in the box to create a new discipline. This pairing must be unique on an asset.
