If you want to export tags that have specific errors, then Validate can export those tags. As with exporting valid tags, Validate will consolidate all tag attributes into a single record – where conflicting data is found, Validate will export all values provided in a single cell.
To begin exporting, click the “Export erroneous tags” menu option at the top of the page.
This opens the “Export erroneous tags” sheet with three dropdowns.
The first contains all tag types to export, you must choose one or more tag types.
Once you’ve decided which tag types to export, then the second dropdown will be populated with all attributes you can export - these attributes are all those that have been defined for the selected tag types. In both dropdowns, the 'Select all' option may be used.
The final dropdown shows all error types that Validate checks for during the validation process. You can select one or more errors – all tags of the chosen tag type that have the chosen error will be exported.
In addition, a name may be given to the upload to help identify the exported document at a later date. When ready, click “Save”. This will perform the export task in the background. We’ll notify you when its finished and direct you to the “File exports” feature to download the document.
If you are likely to be exporting tags with the same tag type, attribute and error type selections, then you can save an “Export configuration”. Simply provide an “Export configuration name” and choose the “Save configuration and export” save option.
If you wish to use a previously defined export configuration, click the “Saved export configuration” tab at the top of the form. This switches to a different view which gets all configurations saved for the project.
You can now select a configuration and see what tag types and attributes have been defined for it.
