Sources of records are the types of uploads that can be validated. Each source of record should contain a collection of tags, which can be of any tag type defined for the asset. The source of records each have a collection of attributes which dictate what tag data can be uploaded – these will typically be a subset of the attributes for a variety of tag types. A single source of record upload may not contain all tags of an asset - this may be split into a set of source of records.
To manage the source of records for an asset, either click on the “Manage asset source of records” menu option for a specific asset in the assets page, or, when in the context of a project, click on the “Source of records” option on the homepage.

Clicking this will take you to the source of records page.

Creating a source of record
To create a new source of record, click the “Create” menu option at the top of the page. This will open the “Create new source of record” form.

When creating a new source of record, it must have a unique name for the asset. You can either select a previously defined category for the asset, or simply type in a new category to create a new one.

Archiving a source of record
A source of record can be archived by clicking the “Archive” menu option for the chosen source of record and confirming the choice when required.
